Victoria G. Bain

Victoria Bain joined Weiss, Schmidgall & Hires as an associate attorney in 2023. She is licensed to practice law in both Indiana and Illinois. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Valparaiso University.

Victoria has been practicing law for two years and has gained valuable trial experience through her work in both civil and criminal matters. In addition to her litigation practice, she serves as a public defender and has sat as a judge pro tem, providing her with a well-rounded perspective of the legal system from both the bench and the courtroom.

Before joining the firm as an attorney, Victoria began her legal career at Weiss, Schmidgall & Hires as a law clerk, where she assisted Attorneys Hires, Schmidgall, and McPheeters with cases from pre-suit investigation through litigation. Her practice focuses on property disputes, contractual issues, criminal defense, personal injury, and other general practice matters.

During her time at Valparaiso University, Victoria taught classes to incarcerated men at the Westville Correctional Facility, peer tutored fellow students, and competed as a member of the women’s swimming team.

Outside of the office, Victoria enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, as well as with friends and family. She also enjoys attending concerts, visiting Major League Baseball parks, and traveling. Raised in a Marine Corps family, she has a passion for serving active-duty service members, veterans, and their families, and regularly volunteers in the community alongside her father.
