Biography
Harold Harper is the Managing Partner of Harper and Harper, LLC, a family-owned Valparaiso law firm he co-founded with his father, Robert Harper. Born and raised in Valparaiso, Harold graduated from Valparaiso High School, earned his B.S. in Accounting with High Distinction from Indiana University, and received his Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law in 1997.
Harold concentrates his practice in personal injury and wrongful death, including auto accidents, truck and motorcycle accidents, dog bites, premises liability, and medical malpractice cases across Northwest Indiana. He has over twenty-five years of first-chair trial and litigation experience - he has briefed and argued hundreds of contested motions, deposed hundreds of witnesses and parties, and mediated well over one hundred civil claims.
Harold is admitted to practice before the Indiana Supreme Court, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, a Life Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and a sustaining member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association.
Harold previously served as general counsel to the Porter County Council and devotes significant time to representing Porter County indigent youths in juvenile delinquency proceedings.
