Otto Joseph Shragal

Otto J. Shragal is an equity partner at Allen Law Group, LLC, where he focuses on catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases—particularly those involving construction negligence and product liability. Mr. Shragal is a trial attorney who has tried cases involving worksite and jobsite injuries, truck accident cases, medical malpractice cases, FELA cases, products liability cases, and more.

He has handled cases across the country and has been consistently recognized by Best Lawyers, American Association of Attorney Advocates, and Super Lawyers for his work in plaintiff personal injury law.

A strong advocate for injured workers, Mr. Shragal is committed to improving workplace safety and the safety of everyday products. He holds both OSHA 10-Hour and OSHA 30-Hour training certifications.

Before becoming an attorney, Mr. Shragal worked for years with a major IBEW Local 697 electrical contractor, gaining hands-on experience on industrial and commercial projects throughout Northwest Indiana. His deep knowledge of the construction industry led him to chair the annual Construction Litigation Seminar in Indiana, sponsored by the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Foundation (ICLEF).

Mr. Shragal and his partner secured a record-setting pretrial settlement of over $37 million for a man injured in a construction zone crash—the largest of its kind in Indiana history. He has also obtained multiple seven- and eight-figure verdicts and settlements in Indiana and Illinois, including a recent $43 million verdict in Illinois.
