3 Felony Drug Charges, No Jail Time
Oct 12, 2016OUTCOME: Probation that, if completed successfully, will result in dismissal of all charges.
My client was charged with 3 felony drug offenses that each carried a potential sentence of 6 - 10 years in prison and would have turned him into a convicted felon. Instead, I was able to negotiate ... a plea agreement in which my client agreed to plea guilty to the charges and in exchange he was put on 3 years probation; no prison time at all. Even better, if my client successfully completes his probation then his guilty plea will not take effect and his cases will be dismissed and will not be permanent convictions; i.e. he will not be a felon. Once his cases are dismissed, I can make the necessary motions to have his charges expunged from his record and he will have a completely clean record as though the drug charges never occurred.
