I represented a woman who slipped and fell on ice leaving her apartment home. She had previously complained to the apartment complex of the inadequacy of their snow removal. On this occasion, it had no ... t snowed for over 24 hours and the apartment complex had a duty to adequately remove snow and ice. Unfortunately, she fell while leaving her apartment and sustained serious injuries. I filed suit against the apartment complex. In the course of the litigation, we learned that the apartment complex was aware that they were not clearing snow and ice fast enough and they knew that the type of roof installed on their buildings were more susceptible to formation of icicles and the dripping of water onto the landings and forming ice.
