Mr. Spickard worked with the minor and the ... ir guardian in preparing their asylum application, representing them in immigration court while their application was pending with USCIS, and prepared them for their final asylum interview. Several months later, USCIS approved the minor's request for asylum and Mr. Spickard filed a motion to terminate their removal proceedings in immigration court which was ultimately granted. The minor will now finish up school in the United States, will be a permanent resident in a few months, and plans on going to college.
