Attorney Joseph Bauer have been helping Rochester and neighboring communities for much longer. Bauer practices with Paul M. Namie, a Lake County criminal defense attorney, and has now expanded that practice into Fulton County and surrounding areas; he personally has serviced 30 counties in the last two years. Rochester was a perfect place for Bauer to plant his roots. Although he grew up in New Lennox, Illi., he visited Rochester on the weekends all throughout his childhood. He fell in love with Rochester, and married a Rochester Native, Madison Sweany (Bauer). Making Rochester home of his new office just made sense after their move back to the area in May 2020. Bauer attended and graduated Ferris State University, Big Rapids, Mich with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with legal studies and a minor in leadership and operations management. He then attended Valparaiso University to study law and graduated in 2019. Upon passing the bar exam Bauer began working in the Lafayette area in the Tippecanoe
County Prosecutor’s Office. After a short while he accepted a position with the law offices of Paul M. Namie in March 2020. Since then he has quickly set into his new role here at the Rochester office; focusing on criminal defense and family law. Bauer is a proud father of two boys and expecting a new addition to the family in April. They have three golden retrievers; the Bauers like to call them the “paralegal pups”. You can sometimes catch them in the office. They are training their youngest puppy to be an emotional
support dog that they can utilize within the practice. Time is important to Bauer. He believes that being readily available for his clients is necessary
to provide them with the best service. If calling the Rochester office, calls go directly to his cell phone, making it where he is personally answering his client’s calls.
