represented a young man who came to the US from China for a better education. His father set up accounts to provide for his welfare, with the help of a "family friend." This "family friend' and his wif ... e then took nearly $500,000 from those accounts. The defense argued that none of the money identified in the complaint ever belonged to plaintiff, that plaintiff knowingly signed a valid Power of Attorney agreement, and that plaintiff had no claim to any of that money. The Defense claimed that the money belonged to a corporation he owned, and never belonged to plaintiff.
