After multiple court appearance and submitting motions, the prosecution changed the plea offer from an A-misdemeanor to a Adjournment in Contemplation of Dismissal ("ACD") upon realization that the probable cause for the traffic stop was questionable. This disposition allowed the client to maintain his conviction-free record and suffer no further consequence from the stop/arrest after the six month holding period. Further, there were no conditions placed on the ACD (e.g. community service, substance abuse assessment, etc.).
