A permanent resident of 20+ years applied to become a citizen and was placed into deportation proceedings due to an administrative paperwork error from 2003. Immigration judge denied the motion to term ... inate (my request to stop the deportation proceedings). After fighting with the government attorney, the judge agreed to allow the client to voluntarily depart, which means that he will not receive a deportation order and will have more options to emigrate back to the United States in the future.
