I am the founder and Managing Attorney of Birch & Associates PC, where I focus my practice on estate planning, probate and estate administration, elder law, trust administration, and related matters. I founded the firm with a straightforward objective: to provide individuals and families with practical, personalized legal guidance that protects what they have built and gives them confidence about the future.

Estate planning is not simply about preparing documents. A properly structured plan requires understanding a client's family, assets, concerns, responsibilities, and long-term goals. I take the time to understand those circumstances before recommending a particular strategy. My practice includes the preparation of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and other estate-planning documents, as well as assisting families with probate, estate administration, trust administration, guardianship matters, elder-law issues, and long-term planning.

I believe one of an attorney's most important responsibilities is to make complicated legal issues understandable. Clients should know what they are signing, why a particular provision is included, and how their estate plan will actually work when it is needed. I therefore place a strong emphasis on clear communication and practical advice rather than unnecessarily complicated legal terminology.
My broader legal background also shapes the way I approach estate planning and probate matters. I have experience handling contested matters and civil litigation, which gives me an appreciation for the problems that can arise when legal documents are unclear, family expectations are not properly addressed, fiduciary responsibilities are misunderstood, or planning is postponed altogether. That perspective influences my approach to drafting: anticipate potential problems before they become disputes and create documents that clearly express the client's intentions.

I earned my Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 2017. I am fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian, which allows me to assist clients and families who may be more comfortable discussing important personal and financial matters in those languages.
My approach is highly individualized. There is no universal estate plan that is appropriate for every person or family. A young family with minor children has different concerns from a business owner, an individual approaching retirement, or a family dealing with the declining health of a parent. My role is to identify those concerns, explain the available options, and develop a plan appropriate for the client's actual circumstances.
