Rude
I met with Stacy with my mother regarding a possible workers comp case along with my father. She told us that it could take 7-8 weeks for us to hear something. When we reached out to her again at 10 weeks, she called my mother a liar saying she would NEVER say 7-8 weeks and they refused to take my mo...
I apologize for the miscommunication and for your hurt feelings when I did not take your mother's case. Making someone feel bad or like I am being rude certainly was and never is my intention. Since your mother is already represented by another attorney in this matter, it complicates the level I am able to consult with her. I am sorry she has been dealing with her claim for 2 years, but again, this is a claim she has going on with another attorney and ethically, I can only consult with her so far while she is represented. Per our conversation, I found her attorney to be handling the case reasonably. And without getting into the particulars of the case, I found the recent delay in "hearing" something to be a matter out of the control of her attorney and something that I would not be able to expedite either. I understand that this process can be very frustrating, but it is unfair and hurtful to take this frustration out on an attorney with whom your mother only had a brief consultation with. I do very much wish your mother the best in her Worker's Compensation case.
