Defendant, a cadet at the Air Force Academy, was charged with multiple counts of computer hacking. He was acquitted of most of the charges against him, but convicted by officer members of one specifi ... cation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 934 (2000), by damaging a computer, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1030(A)(5)(B) (2000). His case was overturned on appeal at the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces in 2004.
