Josiah Berry

Josiah Berry is an Estate Planning and Tax attorney at Berry Legal Services. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Law & Society from Purdue University. In 2015, Josiah graduated from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. In December, Josiah will be awarded an LLM Masters in Taxation Law with a concentration in Estate Planning from Boston University School of Law.

In law school, Josiah served as the Vice President of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program at McKinney School of Law. This program provides free tax preparation to thousands of people in the Indianapolis area. Additionally, Josiah is the current representative for Indiana on the Taxpayer Advocate Panel. This panel provides countrywide outreach to taxpayers in order to make suggestions to the Internal Revenue Service for improving customer service and systemic issues. Josiah has a wide range of tax experience including representing clients before the IRS, clerking for the Indiana Attorney General in the Tax Litigation division, and interning with Eli Lilly while in law school.

As an attorney, Josiah has become well-versed in drafting estate planning documents, advising clients on tax issues, and representing clients before the IRS. He is also the Indiana representative on the Taxpayer Advocate Panel, a grassroots organization which makes recommendations to the IRS on how to improve customer service and resolve systemic issues affecting taxpayers.
