Erik Shane Mroz

Erik S. Mroz practices in the areas of Environmental Law, Regulatory Matters, Insurance Coverage & Bad Faith, and Litigation.

Mr. Mroz represents individuals, businesses and government entities in multi-party environmental, toxic tort and environmental insurance litigation in state and federal courts, before administrative agencies, and through alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Mroz has significant experience in cases involving PCBs, chlorinated solvents, petroleum constituents and emerging contaminants, including perchlorate.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Mroz worked for a national environmental consulting group where he conducted due diligence and site assessments for environmental clean-ups and coordinated the activities of investigators and scientists at sites in California, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Kentucky. While working as an environmental consultant, Erik worked with private counsel and regulatory agencies in developing investigation and remedial strategies at various sites. Mr. Mroz has worked with property developers, private landowners, and municipalities in connection with the re-development of contaminated properties, or brownfields. Mr. Mroz’s experience as an environmental consultant provides him with a scientific background and understanding of the practical issues involved with implementing site investigation and remedial plans.
