Currently pending in Court of Appeals of Georgia; argued on May 25, 2018, appeal from Superior Court of Effingham County; I represented the Appellee paternal grandparents/co-Guardians of a minor who wa ... s injured, and whose parents were both killed, when another driver drove across the interstate median and struck the family's vehicle in a head-on collision. The paternal grandparents settled the claims against the at-fault driver and insurance companies and dismissed the case, but the maternal grandmother then attempted to intervene and unwind the settlement. Superior Court of Effingham County ruled in favor of my clients, finding that the case was settled and dismissed and could not be revived. The maternal grandmother appealed to the Court of Appeals of Georgia. Oral Argument was held in a special session of the Court of Appeals of Georgia on May 25, 2018 and we are currently awaiting a ruling.
