State of Georgia v. Pamela Teague | Coweta County State Court | Case No. 12SR0736
Apr 02, 2013OUTCOME: Not Guilty Verdict/Acquittal
On September 27, 2012, my client was accused of two counts of stalking pursuant to O.C.G.A. Section 16-5-90 for allegedly violating the Ex Parte Temporary Protective Order ("TPO") entered under Civil A ... ction File Number 2012FV59-JK. Though the TPO was dismissed months earlier on March 30, 2012, the State sought to prosecute my client regarding prohibited contact that allegedly took place on March 23, 2012. The Plaintiff in the TPO case and the "victim" in the stalking case was my client's husband's ex. She had been convicted of several counts of fraud, forgery, theft and check kiting. I was prepared with certified copies of every conviction I could find should the State decide to call her. Ultimately, she did not take the stand, and the jury acquitted my client.
