Marriage Case
Apr 03, 2013OUTCOME: Application granted. Unconditional resident card was issued.
USC immigrated foreign spouse and separated from her less than six months after she came to the US because according to her, he was gay. She remained living with his parents with whom they lived when ... she immigrated. About eight months after he moved out, his parents then threw her out of the house. One month before the expiration of the conditional resident card, she retained me to file the application to remove the conditions but he refused to file a joint petition and wrote USCIS that she had only married him to get a green card. I filed the application before the expiration and expedited the divorce , then filed an amended application with a supporting declaration, several supporting affidavits and a memorandum. At the interview which lasted less than 15 minutes the officer told her of the good job I did and recommended the application which was approved within a couple of weeks after the interview.
