The client was originally charged with a Class X Felony, Manufacture and Delivery of Crack Cocaine within 1,000 feet of a church. The client faced a penalty of 6-30 years incarceration. After the fil ... ing of several motions, including a motion to dismiss, the State made an offer of 2 years probation. While we had a strong case, the client ultimately decided to take the offer of probation as he had a new child on the way and did not want to chance any jail time.
