Medicaid compliant annuity issue

OUTCOME: Medicaid approved

At the initial application stage, a decision was issued which created a restricted coverage period which included the purchase of a medicaid compliant annuity. I was able to to successfully argue that ... because the annuity met all of the necessary criteria, it should not be counted as an improper transfer. The decision was ultimately reconsidered and the restricted coverage period reduced. This allowed the applicant to protect additional assets and have medicaid coverage sooner.
