After pretrial proceedings, the matter was tried to a jury. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the plaintiff in the total amount of $402,365.58, comprising $75,603.98 for economic damages, $10,000 for noneconomic damages, and $316,761.60 for physical impairment or disfigurement.
