Commonwealth v. J.C.
Jul 17, 2015OUTCOME: Misdemeanor Reckless Driving (82/60) charge: NOT GUILTY
Police officer alleged to have "paced" my client driving at a speed of 82mph in a 60pmh zone. At trial, the police officer could not prove that the speedometer in his police cruiser had been calibrated ... and found to be accurate as required by Virginia Code 46.2-942. Because of this, the police officer could not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that my client was driving 82mph.
