Mortgage Owed To Client by Deceased Partner

Client had a mortgage placed on her deceased ex-partner's home back in the 1980's for unpaid child support. The amount had accrued to appx. $60,000 by the time of his death. When the partner died, the ... administrator of the estate told her the mortgage was fraudulent and wouldn't pay. My client's former lawyer told her to void the mortgage and move on. I was able to verify that the mortgage was in fact valid. Client was indeed entitled to the full amount.
