OUTCOME: Resisting an Executive Officer (Hung Jury) Battery on a Police Officer (Hung Jury) Resisting Arrest (Hung Jury) THE STATE DISMISSED THE CASE AFTER THE VERDICT!!!

Mr. B.K., a Marine veteran recently back from IRAQ, was approached at his apartment on a noise complaint. He answered his door with no shirt and no shoes on. He refused to come outside to speak to offi ... cers. He chose to speak from the doorway. This led to Mr. B.K. being immediately grabbed from his doorway, knocked unconscious, beaten with a flashlight, and just treated in general with what Mr. B.K. believed was overall excessive force by a particular officer. The jury split on the question on all three charges. Following the trial the state attempted to plea again. Mr. B.K. refused the deal and set the case for a second trial in September 2014. Approaching the trial date the state decided to dismiss all charges!

Mr. Z.G. was at a bar in San Bruno, California at closing time. It was alleged that he refused to leave. The People stated that Mr. Z.G. pushed an officer, while allegedly "grabbing the duty belt" of a ... second officer, in an attempt to resist arrest. Mr. ZG's alleged resistance was used to justify why he was punched twice in the face, kicked in the face, and punched in the ribs. Mr. Z.G. was very angry about the way he was treated on the night in question and refused to sign any deals. Mr. Z.G. wanted his day in court.
