OUTCOME: Judge ruled the opposing party was "sufficiently bridged over" and therefore, no longer had a need for spousal maintenance.

During the pendency of the two years of litigation prior to trial, my client was ordered to provide undifferentiated support in an amount that he could not afford. Two weeks before trial, we made oppo ... sing counsel an offer that provided for two more years of spousal support in an amount he could barely afford after doing right by his kids. They countered with four years of spousal support, we declined. They should have taken the offer!
