David Minnich was stepping down from a concrete delivery system (Oshkosh truck) and fell injuring his shoulder and spine. A successful worker's compensation claim was eventually settled for consider ... able value. Tom Holland also brought a products liability case against Oshkosh for the defective design of the truck. The jury awarded $500k and rejected the defendants argument that the plaintiff fell, on the contrary, the defendant proved that the defect in the design caused him to fall.
