Nicole Lynn Rutter-Hirth

I began my journey in law as an undergraduate student at BGSU, studying sociology and criminal justice, thinking those two areas of study would help me to understand the legal field.  While attending BGSU full-time, I worked in the Lucas County court system part-time.  I received excellency awards for my accomplishments with the court, despite being only a part-time employee.  After receiving my undergraduate degree, I immediately began law school at The University of Toledo.  I continued working in the Lucas County courts in other capacities, to gain exposure to all areas of the law.  Upon graduating from law school and passing the bar exam, I began my work with an area firm.  I remained there for ten years.  In early 2017, I left the firm and began my own office, and work with another area firm, Gump and Deal.  I have experience in many areas of the law, however my focus has been on family law, legal research and drafting, and appellate/post-conviction remedies.
