Shared Parenting in Greene Cty

Mr Scott's experience and skills was invaluable to enforce my Shared Parenting Agreement. We were able to defend against false accusations, both legally and emotionally. He understands the Greene County judges and other lawyers. He navigate a difficult contentious situation to enable it to transition... to significant improvements: continued retention of my full parenting rights but, more important, with an amiable relationship with my Shared Parenting. Mr Scott was fully able to win in court, and the other lawyer clearly saw that result coming. Mr Scott understood how much to reveal to the other lawyer to preserve our ability to win in court yet press for a settlement that would sauve egos and enable a return to amiable Shared Parenting. My ex was able to realize the problem wasn't me, rather his 2nd wife and lawyer were the problems, both soaking him for attention and money for their own benefits. He stopped fighting me in Court (and wife #2 is gone too!). Mr Scott kept my costs minimal, and got us to a solution both for the court and for our family: our kids have two parents who work together to support them. My first lawyer was racking up 5-figure costs and refusing to have a negotiation meeting. Mr Scott was completely different: reading the people correctly and leading us to a great long-term result. He didn't run up costs for his own benefit, nor poke our adult egos to keep us fighting. He was interested in helping me as a client and us a family to navigate a bad situation and find our way to an optimal result for our kids. Tom is very much worth the respect he has earned as one of the best lawyers in the area.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
