After a two-week trial, the Contractor was found personally liable for $185,000 and $142,282 for conversion and fraud for inducing payment through false pay applications for work materials that were never purchased. The Contractor was also found liable for over $6.8 million, consisting of costs incurred by the Developer-Owner beyond the original contract price in order to have a replacement contractor complete both projects.
