Biography
I practice general litigation and specialize in commercial disputes, transportation law, personal injury, and products liability. I have represented both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of cases involving contracts, business torts, negligence, wrongful death, premises liability, insurance coverage, complex litigation, accidents, railroad law, and fraud. I have litigated large and small cases at all levels before the United States Courts of Appeals, U.S. District Courts, and state trial and appellate courts in over thirty states. As lead counsel, I have tried and won jury trials in Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, New Jersey, Ohio, St. Croix, and Wisconsin.
Specialties: For over two and a half decades, I have defended product liability claims and managed national litigation for manufacturers; successfully defended class actions alleging product liability, fraud, and conspiracy claims against pharmaceutical, tobacco, and asbestos companies; handled a wide range of commercial and environmental cases; and managed all legal affairs for local clients in energy, manufacturing, property management, transportation, and temporary services.
