People vs. McQuiller
May 24, 2013OUTCOME: Hung jury on all counts followed by very favorable plea bargain
Defendant was charged with one count of attempted murder, two counts of robbery, six counts of assault with a firearm, and one count of felon in possession of a firearm in relation to the armed robbery ... of a jewelry store that was captured by surveillance cameras. The three perpetrators of the robbery wore masks to hide their identities, but the masks were traced to a sporting goods store which also had security cameras. My client was depicted on the footage buying the masks used by the robbers - less than an hour before the robberies occurred. My client was exposed to decades in prison and the evidence seemed overwhelming.
