Bruce A. Hunter

Bruce has been a licensed attorney in Ohio since 1984, and is a certified specialist in family law.     For over 25 years, Bruce has practiced exclusively in the area of family law and domestic relations cases.    

Bruce’s specialized expertise includes divorce, dissolution, custody and parenting issues, paternity cases, child support, spousal support/alimony and property division issues.    Bruce has particular experience in complex cases that involve valuation issues and tax issues relating to privately-owned businesses, business owners and self-employed professionals.    Bruce’s expertise also includes the negotiation and preparation of premarital (also called prenuptial or antenuptial) agreements.

Bruce is licensed to practice in Ohio and Kentucky.   Bruce has regularly appeared in Domestic Relations and Family Courts throughout Southwestern Ohio (Hamilton, Warren, Butler and Clermont counties) and Northern Kentucky (Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties).       

Bruce is actively involved in Collaborative Divorce, as a member of the Cincinnati Academy of Collaborative Professionals.   Collaborative Divorce is dedicated to resolving divorce issues and other family law disputes through negotiation and agreed settlements.    In Collaborative Law cases, both parties and their attorneys make a binding commitment to negotiate an agreed resolution without the use of litigation tactics or adversarial Court proceedings. 

Bruce also is a certified mediator of divorce issues and other family law disputes.     In divorce mediation, the mediator is a neutral third-party who helps the parties make their own settlement agreement without the expense and conflict of a litigated divorce case in Court.    A divorce mediator does not decide any outcome, as the only outcome in mediation is a mutual agreement that is voluntarily made by both parties.
