Brian Thomas Giles

Brian is co-founder of the firm.  His national practice focuses on plaintiff and defense-side representation in complex commercial litigation, class and mass-tort litigation matters in trial and appellate courts.  He has extensive experience asserting and defending contract, fraud and class action claims, including those involving marketing of consumer products, contracts, securities, and claims arising out of disputes between business partners.  He has tried numerous jury and bench trials both in state and federal courts, has been involved in many preliminary injunction hearings and regularly works on cases where he has to manage complex e-discovery.  

Brian has substantial experience in corporate restructurings through his financial services work, both in the context of Chapter 11 proceedings, and in out of court restructurings.  He has represented a number of secured lenders, syndicators, debtors, court-appointed receivers and distressed debt buyers involving claims totaling more than $2,000,000,000.

In addition, Brian routinely practices in the area of alternative dispute resolution.  He has acted as a mediator in complex state and federal court disputes.  

Brian actively participates in the community through various volunteer work.  He coaches youth basketball, baseball and soccer.
