E. Hanlin Bavely

E. Hanlin Bavely was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and educated in Cincinnati, Ohio: Hughes High School, University of Cincinnati, McMicken College of Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science (with honors) and a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Cincinnati, College of Law.

While in law school he was appointed to serve as a Bankruptcy Trustee by the United States Bankruptcy Court in Cincinnati and handled bankruptcy cases such that at the present time he has administered as a Bankruptcy Trustee more than 20,000 Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings under the current Bankruptcy Code.  While over time the method by which Bankruptcy Trustees were appointed has changed, he has continued to be reappointed by the United States Bankruptcy Court, by the Administrative Office of the United States Courts, and at the present by an agency of the U.S. Department of Justice, the Office of the United States Trustee.  He is admitted to practice in the courts in the State of Ohio by the Supreme Court of Ohio, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and the Eastern District of Kentucky, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.

He has held the AV preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a leading attorney referral publication in the United States.
