The Upper Big Branch Mine Disaster occurred on April 5, 2010. 29 miners lost their lives in the explosion that was the worst mining accident in the U.S. since 1970. My firm represented multiple victi ... m's families in this tragedy. I was head of the steering committee due to my extensive knowledge of coal mining accidents.
