Jesse Ryan Clark

I hired Jesse Clark to represent me in a custody/visitation case. Unfortunately, my experience was very negative. He advised me to stay (pause) my custody motion in exchange for visitation time, assuring me it was solid. What I wasn’t told was that visitation would be entirely at the discretion of... CPS — leaving me with no guaranteed time and constant conflict. Once I realized this and filed my own objection and motion, he immediately withdrew from my case, citing a breakdown in communication, rather than standing by me. He never pushed on key facts, such as that my niece was placed with a non-relative custodian in another county, even though her parents and relatives live locally. He also failed to raise CPS’s own admission that they hadn’t looked for family before placement — a crucial issue. In my opinion, he did not fight for me, did not protect my rights, and left me worse off than when I started. If you are considering him for a CPS or custody matter, I would strongly recommend you look for another attorney who will fully advocate for you and explain the risks of every decision.
