Excellent Lawyer

Was a GAl for a child custody case. He got mislead by ex wifes husband. Didn't fall the law. especially childs best intrest law. Replied last October 30, 2012Regarding the post titled "Might Want To Read This" I was appointed by the Court to serve as a Guardian Ad Litem or "GAL." The role of a GAL is to conduct an investigation and issue a report as to what the GAL believes is the child or children's best intesrest. A GAL has nothing to do with "following the law." Judges and Magistrates interpret law, Guardian Ad Litem's give opinions. As with most cases, either mother or father does not agree with the opinion. It is not the role of a GAL to follow the "wishes of the children." A GAL does not simply interview the children and then tell the Court what they said. A GAL recommends what he or she believes is in the best interest of the children. The wishes of the children and the best interest of the children are often not the same. I love my work as a GAL and as a result I am one of the most requested GAL's in the area. I developed a wonderful relationship with the children in this particular case. Lastly, FYI, nobody "wins" these type of cases and the procedural posture outlined in the post is simply incorrect.
