OUTCOME: Successful reinstatement of de facto parental rights

This was a matter involving de facto parents who raised the child at issue. The Family Court Judge dismissed the case, although the parties had stipulated to my clients' status and visitation rights, b ... ased upon my failure to serve the unknown and completely un involved biological father. Said person had never supported the child, nor visited with him. The RI Supreme Court overruled the trial Judge and remanded the matter to the trial court regarding my clients' rights for visitation under the parties' stipulation/consent order.
