John has severe back problems that had to be surgically corrected. Since he was no longer able to do full time work following surgery, he filed for TDI, then Social Security disability when his TDI be ... nefit expired. He did not think he needed a lawyer since his primary care doctor told him to apply for Social Security and let John know he would support his application. John came to see me when he received a denial. Social Security took the position that his back surgery was successful and, even if he had ongoing issues, he could work in another line of business. John and I developed a legal strategy based on all his medical conditions that effectively proved John would not be able to sustain alternative work.
