Taryn Ashley Douglas

I had a custody, support, and contempt case that Attorney Douglas filed for me. Over the year between filing and my final hearing, my situation had changed. Attorney Douglas was either Incompetent or negligent as a lawyer by failing to update my parenting plan when I was able to move to the same town... as my children. At the final hearing, the judge said that he would not consider equal custody if the case went to trial because she had failed to file a plan. This led me to be coerced into an agreement and drop my argument for reduced child support and address the numerous contempt issues I had. Attorney Douglas and the firm Jauret and Burton refuse to acknowledge that they had made any error. They stand behind their handling of the case. She failed to prepare me for any of the hearings. She started sending me information to review late into the evening before the final hearing, indicating that she had not prepared at all for the trial. If you want a competent lawyer, Attorney Douglas is not the way to go.
