Though I have a fantastic track record prevailing in litigation, I am equally proud of cases in which I help create negotiated resolutions. In one such case, a family was divided by a money disputes, a ... destroyed home, and a series of spiteful allegations. While a judgment would have temporarily decided many of the issues, I pushed for a resolution to mend the broken family. Using a third-party to expand the parties' options, I helped steer the parties towards a deal that resolved the pending issues and created favorable status quo for amicable relationships moving forward.

A district court judge had dismissed the subsequent action to recover the d ... eficiency owed. The district court ruled that prior encumbrances do not affect the fair market value of the property and that my client was presumed to have received this fair market value at the foreclosure (which would mean there was no deficient amount). I was asked to appeal the district court's ruling, and the court of appeals reversed the district court's decision. My client was allowed to recover the deficiency.

OUTCOME: Prevailed

I was retained by a defendant who had already lost his case, even though the defendant had been represented by a reputable attorney. I was able to stay the current judgment and get a new trial. At that ... new trial, I tied up the opposing party's expert witness and convinced the expert to switch positions on the stand. The court immediately dismissed the case based on the expert's new testimony.
