Joseph Robert Reed

Joe, a native of McDonald, Ohio, is a 2012 Graduate of The Ohio State University where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology. He then earned his Juris Doctor from the Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law in 2016. While at Ohio Northern, Joe participated in the College’s Criminal Prosecution Clinic, served as a Board Member for the Ohio Northern Moot Court program, and competed as a member of the Jessup International Law Moot Court Team.

Prior to joining the firm, Joe served as a Staff Attorney with the Seneca County Department of Job and Family Services where he represented the State of Ohio in child abuse and child support enforcement matters. He then represented the City of Mansfield as an Assistant Law Director, prosecuting traffic and misdemeanor criminal offenses as well as advising the City in a wide range of civil matters.

Joe continues to serve his community as a Council Member for the Village of Smithville and Commissioner for the Wayne County Park District.  He is also active as a board member for the YMCA of Wayne County, a mentor with OHuddle, and a member of the Orrville Rotary Club.  He resides in Wayne County with his wife Julie and their two dogs, and in his spare time enjoys hiking, hunting, camping, and weight training.
