OUTCOME: At the conclusion of a bench trial, the judge granted judgment in favor of my client, and declared the restrictive covenant unenforceable.

My client started constructing an apartment building on its property. A neighbor sued to enforce a restrictive covenant that had been placed on my client's property more than 20 years earlier which pre ... vented the property from being used for anything other than a restaurant. I filed a counterclaim to have the restrictive covenant nullified.

My client had a contract with the defendant where my client agreed to provide financing to build a prototype seed counting machine in exchange for future profits. After taking my client's money and bui ... lding the prototype, the defendant refused to pay my client its share of the profits. We filed suit in federal court for breach of contract.
