I hired this lawyer based of a referral, by another lawyer. I was going through a custody battle for my child. I’ll keep most of this short and sweet. Bottom line, if you have deep pockets and a plethora of money she may be an ok lawyer at best. Her respresentaion in your behalf is only as good as yo...u’re able to afford. All my questions were answered with the same generic response, “that’s the system”. I was defeated on behalf of my own lawyer. For the near $12,000 I spent on counsel, I could have probably just taken my chances representing myself in all honesty. Getting charged for both phone calls and emails made and received, with no real answers to help my case most certainly added up, in addition to what I was already paying for. This was the first time I’ve ever needed a lawyer, and I now know and see why MOST people have the opinions they do about them. Sad, just sad. End result, I lost my house, because of the ridiculous debt that I racked up, got the hammered with child support and back child support. So in turn, the only person who came out on top, was her with money that I feel she didn’t even earn. By the time I realized what was going on I was too into it with money, and I had to decide to pay another retainer fee for another lawyer or keep her and take a chance(made the wrong choice). I guess the oath they take is only as good and green as the money you have to pay, or as deep as your pockets are.
