My client had a large Medicaid lien on her family farm. She had been in the nursing home for over 10 years when her family came to me. The lien would have eaten up the equity in the farm upon her pas ... sing. This century farm would have been lost. We were able to get the Medicaid lien removed from the farm and into the names of the children, at a minimal cost, within months of their mother passing away. Both children now live on the farm and we have protected it so it will stay in the family for generations to come.
