Fantastic Lawyer for dissolution/divorce

Even in the midst of a pandemic, Roger was helpful and patient in helping see my case through to the end. While he was a bit more expensive than initially planned, I did ask him to do more than originally anticipated. He does break down his invoices fairly thoroughly, so there was never a feeling... of miscellaneous charges or necessarily being "overcharged". Definitely worth the investment in the end to have things done correctly.

Highly Recommend!

Roger Bundy was referred to our family by another Ohio attorney who had recently retired. Our debt settlement case was over 6 years old when we hired him in 2019. Since we reside in New York State, all of our communication was either over the telephone or via "Mycase" email. I especially liked thi...s case management email software! It is a more secure, efficient method of communicating with your attorney, including your email "conversation" history. He (and his Assistant), were very easy to work with, which was especially important working long distance. He kept me up-to-date on every aspect of our settlement case and was also able to negotiate a lower settlement amount for paying our debt in full. We are truly thankful for Mr. Bundy's expertise and experience in his field and his ability to successfully settle our case in a timely manner. I highly recommend this very competent attorney!

Very grateful

I am very grateful to have found Mr.Bundy, my experience was wonderful. I trusted him from the first time we meet and my instincts prevailed. I told him what I wanted and needed and he got me so much more, things that I was unaware of he brought to my attention, Roger and his staff certainly did th...ere home work! I have an Attorney for life Forever grateful, Rebecca (formerly Mihok)

Not recommended

I absolutely do not recommend this gentleman as a family law attorney. I retained Mr. Bundy’s services for a contentious post-decree matter in which the steps leading to an appeal had been filed by a previous attorney. After I retained him and he had reviewed the documents in the case, we had a very ...unpleasant phone call in which he berated me repeatedly for the decisions made by previous counsel (and I had not made any of these decisions personally, so it wasn’t clear why he felt it was appropriate to chastise me for these decisions). He then told me that the judge regarded me as a “black hat” and thought of my abusive ex-wife as the “white hat” (what does that even mean?). He clearly was not supportive of his own client; frankly, he came off as being more on the side of my abusive ex-wife than me. Regardless, during the phone call he stated that he would call opposing counsel to discuss several issues that needed to be resolved. To my knowledge, he has never called opposing counsel in this case. After the phone call, I have attempted to contact him via electronic message through “MyCase” at least 6 times; he has never responded to any of these messages. His office apparently has no live staff; when you call his phone number, you are directed to either send him a message through MyCase or leave a voice message (and he makes it clear that he really prefers you don’t leave a voice message). Regardless, I have left multiple voice messages asking him about my case, and he has never responded to any of them. There is no other way to contact this attorney. He is still retained and is still listed on the docket as the attorney of record. When the transcript was finally prepared by the court so as to prepare objections in my case (the step leading up to an appeal), this attorney failed to communicate with me or to supplement the objections - which means that an important opportunity to appeal in my case was lost. It appears that Mr. Bundy has abandoned my case, and thus I am looking for new counsel. I intend to file complaints regarding Mr. Bundy with the Ohio Bar and also the disputed fee committee; in my opinion, he has been quite negligent and also has not performed any meaningful work in the case. After I requested he withdraw from the case, he still has not returned $2000 worth of the retainer he said he would give back. His communication in this case has been very poor, and he has consistently failed to follow through on things when required. This is not the person you want representing you in court. Find anyone else to represent you.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
