I am a native west-side Clevelander, having been born in Lorain and raised in Vermilion. I've lived in the East Side suburbs, the near West Side, the near East Side, and am back to where I belong - in the West Side suburb of Bay Village.
My office is in Westlake. I restrict my practice, most of the time, to clients to the west of the Cuyahoga River.
I am different from other lawyers in that I have had at least two careers before Law, and probably 30 jobs, if we include my first paper route, working at McDonalds, and everything else I've ever done. I have been a lawyer since 2008, and this is the longest I have ever held a job.
I draw on my varied experience every single day as a lawyer. I think this makes me not just different, but better.
I volunteer with Legal Aid, the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, and have been a board member of several non-profit organizations. When I am not lawyering, I enjoy boating, kayaking, bicycling, hiking, camping, and woodworking. I'm a supporter of both the American Civil Liberties Union AND the National Rifle Association. My politics are not easy to describe, except "do what you like, so long as you don't hurt anybody else".
I married my high-school sweetheart, Amanda, in 2008, and we have two adult sons.
