It cost me my potential severance pay from Rolls-Royce, plus attorney fees of $5000 to find out this lawyer either didn't know what he was doing - or decided to work for the other side. I'm not able to determine which of these situations happened to me, but I lost my case after I was told by him tha...t I had a 90+% chance of winning. He cancelled a settlement hearing at the last moment, failed to show up at depositions, advised me with wrong information, and briefed me in a way that caused me to focus on the wrong information. He also sent an inexperienced attorney in his place at one hearing. He kept a check that I had received from Rolls-Royce in the amount of several hundred dollars that was never returned to me. He tried to get me to pay an additional $5000 to do additional work, but never gave me a written or verbal explanation of what his fees were used for. To my knowledge, none of the persons he represented in similar lawsuits with Rolls-Royce won their case or received any settlements. He did not support me or advise me when the EEOC "lost" my paperwork in a claim concerning the same case. The person that unfairly dismissed me and several other senior employees was obviously hired to "cull" the workforce. She is now gone herself from the company. I was "railroaded" by this attorney, in my opinion.
