They aren’t going to drop it because you want them to. Make sure he gets a lawyer and settle in for a long wait.

The court can issue a warrant for your arrest as a material witness and send a deputy to drag you in. They often don’t but it’s always a possibility.

If he really only has 30 days over his head then 30 days. But, the charges you list suggest he could easily have 180 days or more hanging over him.

I doubt it. I suppose he could stay in prison, but he’d be the first guy ever asking for that, and they might say no, you’re going to the halfway.

That’s a policy question for the DRC not a legal question. But, I doubt they hire people with high level felony convictions.
