Extremely valuable assistance

Stefen is a professional, knowledgeable and non-judgmental person that proved more than capable in assisting me with my legal matters related to debt settlement. Steven is an excellent communicator and provides insightful information that is extremely helpful. He is meticulous, reliable, and straight...forward. I've enlisted his help several times and have always felt informed and never misled. I recommend him should you ever find yourself in need of legal counsel.

Rude

As I was trying to ask questions of details about my case, being 22 and not fully understanding what was going on, he told me he “didn’t care” when I told him about my father passing and HUNG UP

Please note that our offer to discuss legal options does not grant license to engage us in abusive or offensive conduct, nor are we obligated to abide the same. Consequently, while you contacted our office to discuss a pending lawsuit, upon disclosing that the balance due on account was $600.00 (Six-Hundred Dollars and No Cents) you were advised that it was not financially feasible to bear the cost of retaining an attorney, and that you would be better served focusing on making arrangements to pay-off the obligation. This advice was then repeated to your husband. However, rather than accepting that opinion he alternatively became argumentative, ultimately raising his voice in an apparent effort to engage in a verbal confrontation. When there was no reciprocation, he disconnected and called back immediately thereafter in a further such attempt. In light of these circumstances, it was appropriate for our discussion to effectively conclude at that applicable juncture. Nonetheless, our opinion remains the same, that rather than incurring the expense of an attorney's services you should otherwise arrange to satisfy the outstanding balance due and that will in-turn resolve the associated case.

He didnt do what he said he would

He was hired to be our lawyer my sister accepted full responsibility for the debt and he was supposed to get that in writing with the company that was suing and he didn't I'm still legally responsible he also told us that he can get the settlement reduced to half and he didnt had to still end up payi...ng the full amount. I basically feel like he was paid to do absolutely nothing and he told us these things to get the case will never recommend him

Candidly, my ability to resolve a case is always contingent upon a client's individual financial capabilities. Therefore, when we originally consulted in this matter your sister indicated that she had savings sufficient to pay approximately one-half (1/2) of the balance due. While you specified no ability to otherwise add to that sum. However, after nine (9) months of in-Court negotiations with Plaintiff's counsel your sister then subsequently disclosed that she had spent the funds on deposit. Therefore, she no longer had the means to remit a lump-sum amount, and as such, indicated the need for a monthly payment arrangement. Consequently, I then worked-out a settlement on your mutual behalf, providing you three-and-a-half (3 1/2) years to satisfy this obligation pursuant to modest installments. These terms were then put in writing via an Agreed Judgment Entry that you each signed and returned to my care formally concluding proceedings. Notably, you did not raise any issue or questions at the time of approving this agreement. Nonetheless, if you and your sister are otherwise positioned at this juncture to offer a lump-sum in potential discounted resolution of account, this matter can always be potentially re-visited. However, in the absence of that reflecting your capabilities, then your compliance with the agreed payment plan I secured on your behalf will otherwise preclude the creditor from being able to attach your wages or bank accounts. So if a lump-sum is indeed within your related means, then please feel free to contact me by phone or email to further discuss such a solution.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
